High Protein Oatmeal Bowl


Ingredients
  • For the Oatmeal
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup water
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • 1 Tbsp packed light brown sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • ½ cup Galbani® low fat ricotta, 50% More Protein than Galbani ricotta made with whole milk (6g vs 4g)
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • For the Toppings
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ cup assorted fresh berries
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sliced almonds

Directions

In a medium saucepan combine milk, water, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Bring mixture to a boil.

Lower heat to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and oats are tender.

Stir in ricotta cheese and heat through.

Remove from heat and stir in almond butter and spices.

Divide between 2 bowls and top with maple syrup, berries and sliced almonds.
